It was always my dream to play at state in basketball but never happened for me so I lived vicariously through Paige:) They played awesome and ended up wining the consultation championship! Paige played her heart out and when that final buzzer rang and we won I wont lie a few tears came out of my eyes. It didn't help that they won in overtime so emotions were high! but they pulled it through and did a great job. Props to the Lady bobcats! My family went, aunts, cousins, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law. We had so much fun cheering, shopping, and sampling each others Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes yum! We had so much fun and cant wait for a couple of weeks to go back and cheer on Ryker for boys state! I also mentioned Valentines day in my title and Chris and I had a great Valentines day it didn't help that he had three test in a couple of days and tons of homework. I hate school sometimes and I'm not even the one going to school. but I got a beautiful bouquet of a dozen long stemmed red roses and we went out and ate at the Pineapple Grill one of Chris' favorites. The best part was I got to spend a couple of hours just me and Chris. With school, kids sports it seems like "us" time doesn't seem to hit top priority so it was nice to be with my best friend and love of my life. I am so grateful that I have such a hard working and dedicated husband because I know this time will pass and I will get my husband back. but for right now I understand and love him for it. I hope you all had a great valentines day! Until next time.....Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-51620473489062837862011-10-19T16:42:00.000-07:002011-10-19T17:06:47.078-07:00Its been awhileSo I know its been like eight months maybe more since I have posted, but honestly I like reading about your lives way more then writing about mine. But to catch you up Chris and I moved back to Rexburg we bought a townhouse at Parkside and we are loving it. Its nice to have a home of your own that you can decorate and paint whatever your heart desires. I know its terrible to say right now but Im so excited to get my Christmas decorations out and go crazy but I promise Im staying strong and only fall and Halloween decor is out. I am back working for my uncle at the dental office of Toenjes,Brizzee, and Orme and Im loving being back. Chris is working at American Family Insurance in Idaho Falls and going to school at ISU. We got pregnant with baby number one in july and in my 13th week lost the baby. and with all that going on Im doing good. I struggled at first it took us nine months to get pregnant with that baby and to loose it was hard but with the wonderful love of my husband, family, friends and the rock of me my Heavenly Father Im going on day by day with my head held high enjoying the moments, the days and going on with faith. We got the ultra sound at nine weeks and saw the heartbeat and it was 193 beats per minute. I think that little spirit was so excited to recieve his body knowing thats all he needed and I was grateful enough to be able to share that moment with it. The doctor said that the baby must of died right after that visit and I carried that baby four weeks after until I finally miscarried. Im feeling a lot better and thank all the comforting words, treats and hugs. I am going on looking forward enjoying each day because I have a fabulous marriage, awesome family and friends, and really your day just is better when you smile.Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-59708679708697304922010-11-10T18:08:00.000-08:002010-11-10T18:18:48.132-08:00Got to love Braces!!Its been awhile since I have posted but even being home it still seems like we are always on the go. Halloween was really fun we spent it at my grandmas eating soup and hanging with family. Chris and I are both working and like I said really busy. I got the day off today though and went with my mom, Tyra, and Kreed to there Dentist apt. Today was the day they got their braces on. I was so excited to see all the people I use to work with and I was even lucky enough to assist in putting on Tyra's braces. They look super cute in their braces. Enjoy the blackmail pics!! :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMfGfS-Vumh-b6JQ2nOOUY76PCKsktQEJCGbJOzNYnJZb64J0GVSKhOog3RxIN-vHYsAOr6jrhqAnfuGnIO3O_xGMX-o3xVGCCQdmgu45pNhAKvohx1vAJNaP1dYSXOjLS4NmNnh7Sbj0Y/s320/DSC02444.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538110728163218402" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAhluPouTDJIdWOx9U4nHPho2qXI8FZtTIWgxNBWjyuFDxO1_ZZnVaSgm0saYIMt9_cI8bjbtiadwC2qhyCGX7uYyiaBF3sx3kHduoE0eBW9Irp2FxYCOlQJqtTdbBJvilSetgbi3-GL35/s320/DSC02443.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538110717588576066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibEqgz3m6XxTNhwo-jipyttFA9-xR2vYpz6YOiJev31ql88CJMlXUceEN35LneIqXY4eZ9Cl5kZ04QM6_5xXsdRZiJ-bDL1OWt67Q85BpZ6GfZkjCHp9xPrg-D4ghgUQN9q44NM6cqn0xw/s320/DSC02442.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538110716586787442" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZwP9yLP4dkC7pdYsg6s7qN7vMaiqig5ThStmA7XZKrGbgZIcj9V4GKKGAWcLQsTRa44dKi8J3Gg9-qC4IBfVYoVxUyGNd2WA1TDy-SLIcwy2m2EIZkpibyQdjp0-XVcfCyke8DpURXNiZ/s320/DSC02441.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538110710852421298" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZ-3naY9pCAtqey55Ky-BavD0f4L5cUiwn7Ry9NaF05vbg-PJl8OYAIDQoNIW0x26zrAMJYLLGWJnQ8jt0Bez51H36uz2dJfVIeRalTBAwkLV5yPKlYdDd-z6IfTSFzB47dRNi6sis-Iy-/s320/DSC02440.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538110708411228018" />Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-58710568412446837832010-09-08T19:41:00.000-07:002010-09-08T20:45:42.554-07:00End of one Adventure and the start of a new oneIts been really long five weeks I think and in that five weeks Chris and I have gone on a two week Europe trip. I just wish my friends and family could be there too. We had a lot of fun and tried to experience it all. Chris and I by the time it was time to go home we went to every country that borders Germany. We had so much fun made a lot of friends and even more memories.

We flew into Idaho falls and the next adventure began. We got a townhouse in Idaho falls and its slowly but starting to get put together and starting to look like a home. Chris turned 23 we spent the weekend laughing and spending time with family. I got a job working for Dr. Moulton a periodontist here in Idaho falls. Which I really enjoy. Now we are busy with school, work, volleyball and soccer games and just enjoying life. We are so glad to be home and with our family and friends again. Sorry for such a long post until next time.....Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-16789444853227311142010-07-26T00:41:00.000-07:002010-07-26T01:14:21.894-07:00One year later!!! & Prague, Czech RepublicSo Im really behind on my blogs but better late then never I guess. July 18th has come and gone and with that day it has marked a year being married to my best friend. What a year it has been being in Europe for half of it. Its was a year of LEARNING, GROWING, ADVENTURE, SMILES, TEARS,AND A WHOLE LOT OF LOVE!! I married my best friend and the first year seems to have flown bye. I cant wait for the years and eternity to come. I love you Chris thanks for all the adventures!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-dcn9PUIP3ETbC-SndeIHI2bSvSmxfpwnikeR8y0eEkZasgfMRKZ2ei3g3NzbYgKdRLxMTDMr_PGuxI1u6ejrH2oabrh98QiwnG8WlvCkJZgZFsVhFG0CP8LE1tRapMLsmlRzNaSmv4Fv/s320/DSC_0565.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498119476626066386" />
With our one year anniversary we also went to Prague, Czech Republic and wow did I love this city. I think it has been the prettiest city we have been to so far. I just coulnt believe how old and detailed it was, but so well kept. Prague has a huge river that flows through it and beautiful bridges to compliment them. There is one bridge for walking only and on there, there are statues that people go up and touch, I assume its a religious thing cause they were all statues of the death of Christ. With all the beautiful architecture of course they have a huge beautiful Cathedral. This was the first cathedral we have seen gargoyles, which they are really creepy but inside I have never seen anything so ornate and gody. It was beautiful the stain glass windows were probably my favorite just because they were the most detailed I have seen, they were beautiful. Its funny for how pretty and fancy that building was the spirit when you walk in there is not one of peace and joy. In fact I dont even know if you could call it a spirit more of just a feeling of pride. Im sad that they even though its fancy and bold dont realize that the simpliest things are the things that matter the spirit that the building should bring isnt there. Im just really grateful for our temples and the feeling of peace and joy that it brings through its simplicity and purity. Also for being here in Germany we still get the news of what is going on in Idaho and I hope the Sullengers know that we were and still praying for there family and we were very grateful for there blog that kept us up to date on what was going on in sweet Preslee's life. Im grateful for temples and the power of eternal families! I get to see my parents in two days and I cant be more excited I cant believe its almost over! Two more weeks!!Until next time.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEily6wuANM6inEex78EtW3u2vFn4rXYn3-5aIOMqP2aK0KWAbfjLpo7VV-W3Pj4w8RrgUx61FObYmH9fufSyH8VTT6XKL7XU00IgeCBwlzA4OTIoyn5jT9YbVu4y6L0FHe_UoIvOSfcVfAC/s320/Prague+109.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498124982937336146" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmfyzvx14rygCV-koAwYgcvw5X7z3GDSdCiYHt-CWd0Ivep4Yr_QEwbkzvJixYN5jz-VEYKNCcSdaF_mFm1Bs-K033Xcz4DxEfHb3NPoAAdkoOD-dQPBSTXVMjZwJ_ZdT1m7r1yPxnaiVb/s320/Prague+045.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498124975076248898" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnpygCDge9ZERjmk0bEIXvgwP3FbafU1GiryYgP4zhhDzaAJj34NvxZsF3dG2TTHIN0koPo-lhYHtWv-ahKVMHyomnO9AaLdWkSu3vy_n7QigMdQLKSrBv4fFTJ4UE1fO2OLYFYJuydvjJ/s320/Prague+014.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498124966641669842" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhitg10CYBj0U91HutVgyIR0kPVYxA1P7xwiJrlgOw3Gc_cX1ZFqSA_NKenOkf1AhTDNWRGI3WCEki3oNLUeNGY1-iE-RxEd5Lzskp8N1baBRr0KR_pAMPrEU3OGWXXoeyLTk6k8thaL9Le/s320/Prague+061.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498124957429582834" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 175px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkSRPqdfXrDcbqDhSow6yf0SqF4oNw06BFzZfKZg_o5dzjVYXb9Zs-iMzJOCLgcEVS98ddomIv_e1L7tJ1PZVHa_bpW4eDZJL96Hr0Ds_CU2J4unylK-xpCIwFxA5TeuvCKrWbByLW2MXx/s320/Prague+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498124948044906866" />Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-58248866275169649422010-07-01T12:10:00.001-07:002010-07-01T12:16:51.402-07:00Congratulations AshlieMy little sister is engaged!! and I couldnt be more happy for both her and Taylor. June 19th was a day of remembrance for Chris and I. We woke up and started our day with a bbq with friends from our ward and friends from Idaho, the Gugglemans had come to Germany to teach a photography group. Travis Guggleman had served his mission in Germany and with how small this world is he served in the Bremen Ward that we go to. It was so nice to see a familiar face and be able to talk with them what was even cooler was that he asked if Chris and I would come and model for them as he taught the group!!!! I was so excited. So after the bbq we were heading to Bergen Belsen Concentration Camp we had the missionaries with us and they came along with us for p day. A little history of Bergen Belsen was that this camp wasnt an extermenation camp, it was just a holding camp. but one of the worse holding camps there was they said still around 30,000 people were killed here from starvation, and disease. Also this camp is were Anne Frank was sent to, and died in this camp. Anne Frank was an amazing girl who died at the age of 15 they figured she died four or five days before the camp was liberated. To read her words and how she really looked at the world at a whole different level, was amazing. To think if she would of survived what potential she would of had. What she could of been and done. Bergen Belsen was burned by the English soldiers and now what is there is mass graves. It has a building of pictures and a movie that just litteraly takes the words from your mouth and makes you bow your head in sorrow to see how the bodies and the conditions were. Outside like I said mass graves cover the outside area. They have a tombstone for Anne Frank and her sister Margo but its just for remembrance they are buried in one of the mass graves. They also had a Russian POW cemetary which thousands of russians died to. In each mass grave contained from 1000 to 5000 bodies. This day was a very eye opening day and in the words of Anne Frank, "Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don't know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!"
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG0VMajhoxMQR1jB7TXQuPW7Tx8_KqcsrIUxa9qL6HHxtBgE1nLew2JSWTD16Pe8l48iR910DgRR-2kyW8KRaROIvrHWaIUeY0h20QegWFSSM8_aBhGuG79VClcy-dWggsnh3rf4VO01wr/s320/Bergen+Belsen+Concentration+Camp+039.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487521315348906802" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivSw2w5LKdkeao3II5BLEtQO4AeI9td6cAJmBZHRVec2QB5PpK9gf3MZUpoT2QWX7PigdU-jQCiNG_JTQI1GipmqUolWcW2icB3TFuT76S2UwO3V9EQFbezu9g1soPSsR8_RnFOXnf2Mt_/s320/Bergen+Belsen+Concentration+Camp+034.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487521305917237570" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOsPfZI3hxQMsNKh6DDugkzcZhn20TQvVmNZVMZExoLbrlvHPcgcCYAaH9qK5GvKO3R82rE2xx7KgiwBLstyyFQDNa4UFeZ9WKXjM7L-SOuBHQXXorP5Uzk8ONOB9zo5GV8ykNoabMJh7g/s320/Bergen+Belsen+Concentration+Camp+012.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487521302476015458" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiN6rg2J-sGjRYYi-_ze3GiwnKMfGDNG9E5DCMB-4GYtcN5MTjp-nQvGCl1MuITTN2UICDD3QcsZpkDlzBIGmBdRdqHU1p7J7J7Kftkl16GGIzlWd_dZCF_J9R76DOUNxvk3k5wdJYyTDiD/s320/Bergen+Belsen+Concentration+Camp+004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487521291783206226" />
So I thought I would introduce all my blogging friends to my German friends. Lena, Marlene and Stephan. These guys are truly have been my best friends since chris and I have been here. We have done so much together and I will seriously have a hard time saying goodbye this is us at Pizza Hut here Marlene is the bleach blonde and Lena is in the ponytail both there boyfriends are named Stephan. but Marlene's boyfriend is going to school so he wasnt able to come. We also went to a world cup party and watched Germany defeat Ghana. Wow what a crazy thing all the people are dressed up and the come and watch it projected live. It was so much fun we got there and in less then two minutes we had german flags on our face and a German Hula necklace around my neck. Everyday we cant believe how lucky we are to be here and to be able to experience this. We are so grateful for were we are and what we have done and the people that have helped us along the way. Its crazy to think we have less then two months left, so these last weekends will be crammed with things to see before we get home. So to catch up June 5th Chris and I got up early and left to do a session in The Hague Netherland Temple, I had called about a month in advance to see when was the best time to come and if they rented clothes. They did not rent clothes, but after talking to the sweet worker she said that they did have a few extra clothes and they would hold them for us. So Chris and I woke up to hit the afternoon session. We got there and we couldnt find the parking lot for the temple, but what we learned was that cause of cost reasons of land there, the parking lot was actually built underneath the temple. So you drive to the first gate and you hit a button, there is a camera there so I figure if your in a suit and tie they will open it for you. You then drive down this tunnel where then a garage door opens into a secure parking lot very James Bond let me add, I thought it was super cool. We walked upstairs got all are stuff and attended a session in Dutch. The spirit that fills you even though in a different language is undescribable. Its amazing the peaceful feeling that you get from just being in that building, Im so grateful that Chris and I got to go it was an amazing day.....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-dVxP2efKhZuj1UF-6Uu9dONLeDdFyYcFHPpMHWm_94biHMMtN9SwOkciGRvyJG8JOae0hsJ96GJ4pgnHL1VWFsDIL4AhcbCGcJaWShAT-EIvIsCtW0sWfTrDZop17b9gKT4HdxK14zjG/s320/065.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484125130313886770" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcmRz7k_aEUKIlH30Pal_wq6OAF1P0LTnpvh87PxF7jVh0cx69Y_ouWrb2jqlSEqwwfuEHdkgYuYRlEt-p2X-IyxVt2VCKl1IEoH9zHoeaKTzd9KGSyIzTGlGW7t3rLOQchhU7jXTFgMk9/s320/062.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484125122135253522" />
On June 12th Chris and I headed to Denmark it was all together about a four hour trip. We were headed to a town called Tonder, the moment we got into that town I feel in love completely this town was beautiful. The building were so old but so well kept that it was just beautiful. We walked the streets of the quiet city and looked for souvenirs. We found a way cool store where everything inside is antiqued, its beautiful if I could I would of bought that whole store, it was so my style. What we found though for our souvenir for Denmark was two old European cars that I LOVE!!!! I cant wait to put these in my house I dont have a pic of them but they are awesome!!! Here are pics of Tonder......
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijkCqpw1MhPbSwWkoVJ18YpcEV2QrOF_CGn8grcl8LEPAtbA1Oqx5mEMpL1oLcHQEzGbdHA-VxHkeuOO3ks4VyBczM053yFzYuXus9FhAz06ReE9s99RaDIGxvVom9D0vtRdDkAK5bVfed/s320/Denmark+007.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484128992051447874" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju91O9PHJ7w6sywjwUTiVRDXH8JOXlU67M5MYmF3zHDUGTuhPwHXENnHmMJR-_Dbx3oaDI2rdYThjtQyN343AIdOFftiq90ulUE7FqOw_avDm875d7f0PqstLa7nXCrRhYyGBk9iDdL3Ef/s320/Denmark+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484128988259289298" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCnN6H2-Q5cpbUYEymYLdnMwH9E2s4N4lMlV7MfdDv-jmz1vvrIz9R9D3eP9wTBPfd_tKh20HoAbf83cVDRdPonpo6nX7MmFbDHUWMSTAOgCDQ4FvDg1HZyomRWsDn7_ybITqSmTopQHFb/s320/Denmark+009.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484128978935784642" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqsRBTLgNUKkXJDTSAUs6N1vJhAS8FneoOuA6L2R86Ocp6S3FLid1Sz4ELXIY6oKZJu41ppTf4TFilMJnpBR8HdmEi1EitaPi5sVYp1Fr9AitjgPrRsAK038jQt_pQ_bW8AAX_jNCtxzOp/s320/Denmark+004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484128967991561842" />
After Tonder we drove to Romo. Romo is on a Danish Island right next to Denmark and to get across there is a land bridge from Denmark to the Island. There in Romo we went to the beach of the North Sea. This beach was very different for one of the facts that you can drive right on it. The sand is so compact with the shells which makes that possible. For another reason that its different is that its very windy there, which brings the kite boarders. So you look out into the water and there are kites everywhere its beautiful. We went out and played in the water and surprisingly it was warm. We took tons of pictures then headed home and watched some World Cup! It was an awesome day! With all that we have done and seen I still miss my family and friends so much and cant wait to get home and share our adventures, until next time...........
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHU40BN7nvwYKa-f66Qf6-iVdYsG7O0aMAWfOK0CDVbUGzkrtOtRv_4m8TM7WP422I52Vb__i_raPRMeYMZ9jWRygtCLbgJQds4oTQcypa0bK9NnnMIez7Lhk4f_zXSLI7a2fvv79zOAr7/s320/Denmark+030.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484133206858242978" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcYfbNrrAj-hLmSgPr_2_hJGW9SfAGw7EV7IP9oDBR7fxOj1AlXpeSZvhIkhxsMqWZaHYEk3eO5VtxFVlcJT_dtHstQqZJb6iyswnp15I0mcou15tzP-HDM2_MabWfShtn5Gzscjmmek_x/s320/Denmark+071.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484133198014981842" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSLuBVV28jfUw9_50hpVO74uTYvI5zlcWKg7sPdhfbXssuLpPp7VqlPoOa_u93bnK9278EoXGPfrMYFnPYkeLu-G-BVOoSujC8O7bkqg2jIHWJf7vdpVmWm91cMTL_MOjCSZEuEi_Svnvz/s320/Denmark+059.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484133190859234434" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLfuwZBXHL_sr4INKiVAXTYnX8MJYEUEIEM023ZaruziXkgMR909hCo5wzr-0GZEJ_K7jH0r0yYNI6Xoxo-SLt7BIGkpwe-ChLsuKi4d6fiSJO5yr1sn7rmhJrhqPVeS18qTMHDZ4UNOXT/s320/Denmark+044.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484133183091513842" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL9pEkCysLmCtvhCTNLcb00fJuvukPAqdNujFZNEOvhbfhBH-DnUGdijxVEZRGe4jjcrIv1dAqKnMbob0LmAXNKY_f2nL46AxMzWqV4gJ3d1LgRLFBY_NWUCcPqhbuvYh3mPy4AuLp2IY_/s320/Denmark+017.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5484133174875244290" />Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-61728480347005210522010-06-09T11:19:00.000-07:002010-06-09T11:51:55.737-07:00Poland- May 29thWhile we are here I have wanted to try and see as much as we can while we have free travel. So Chris asked what I wanted to do for the weekend and I told him I wanted to go to Poland. and the first thing that came out of his mouth was, "Why?" I wanted some hand made pollish pottery and to be able to experience I place that once went through communisim. Chris was hesitant but agreed. We woke up really early got ready and left for Poland at 6:30 in the morning. Poland is a little over five hours for where we lived so we stocked up on treats and were headed. And I'll admit I had no idea what to expect and this trip will probably made me realize how lucky I am to live in a place of dreams and freedoms. We hit the German/Poland border and it was night and day difference the roads were not maintained and there was nothing to be seen for miles. I had no idea what to think because for a good half hour there was nothing but thick forest until all of a sudden I spotted this......
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 174px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1huJgnQ-qviGZSVt1QB_HmH1qkN8XRNrX1yOH33G9WMEDlWZm9bhgXi_Oh3ttUR7ctgQtfchjpMC-JIJ83sfegzT5moUMAQdD4nemvMmgQHjrTGGwubs5nO5WEaQ15O0O4ZLIb5MK5una/s320/Poland+006.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480842498585442962" />
This is a Soviet Union watch tower, and I cant even imagine what all took place here in this spot. What was seen who was betrayed and who was lucky enough to sneak through. Now its in the backyard of an elderly mans home,and if I could only speak his language, I bet he has some amazing stories. To Thinks of a place and a time that was so cold and as we kept driving the feeling didnt really change. We got to Bolsaweic where we were going to get the pottery, and I understand why Chris asked me why I wanted to go there. I have never been to a place that had so little hope, the people even the buildings. Everything was old grey stone and cold. It seemed like a dream was never possible for any of the people there, until we say this.....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 170px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3Kby3x1jAtGcvMj7hoXvnFcWfEMg_82eKrNGpnYZ7QCnY9BmXQWm9eqDZq3TcPMG4jPbXk_77e26sOEqMYYr1f5qQ9Yjo3V4EkwNuYfrCfEQN-gPgKqoWHZRDeOQE-hZgNz9rHmnsyi5R/s320/Poland+008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5480844616194698674" />
The one sign of hope and a dream of starting new. I got eight plates, a fruit bowl and a teapot. and while we were in the shops we came out and three boys, I would say around 16/17 years old were around are car and the wiper blades were up. It scared me so I just stood still but Chris on the other hand started talking in very forcefull Russian. I wish I could of gotten a picture of their faces, cause I know they were not expecting that. They started rambling stuttering in Pollish and kept pointing to the car. and I guess what they do there is they wash your car and windsheild and then wait for you to pay them. The sad thing is, is that Ive worked in to many peoples mouths that I know how to spot meth mouth and I couldnt contribute to that habbit. They left and we headed back home. and as we left I looked around and through all the gray you could see where the people were breaking boundries. The apartment building were all gray but the balconies would be painted and not just with any colors but the brightest colors they could find. It made me smile I hope they keep breaking out and reaching for there dreams. I am so proud to be an American and know that any dream of mine is possible I hope one day the people of Poland can one day feel that too. Until next time......Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-46497759670971594042010-05-28T07:49:00.000-07:002010-05-28T13:17:40.342-07:0021 Baby!!!So thats right I'm 21 now and boy will this birthday be one that I never forget. Well first off I got to spend my birthday in Germany not a lot of 21 year olds can say that and second all my gifts came from Russia.. Here is my birthday story...

I had been staying in Frankfurt with Chris' cousins Kevin and Marnie while Chris was on a business trip to Moscow Russia, they were opening up a brand new Grimme Russia company about 200 km away from Moscow and that week they were preparing for their grand opening. Kevin and Marnie were very nice for letting me stay and making me feel welcome especially since they have only meet me once. I had a lot of fun making crafts, talking, and playing with their kids. Chris got home friday night late, he called me and told me he made it safe and that he would come and get me saturday on my birthday. So I woke up the next morning hurried and showered to get ready so I looked good for when my husband got there. Little did I know he left early and with unlimited speed on the autobon and no traffic lets just say he got there in awesome time. He surprised me with a big hug and a Happy birthday. Marnie got up and made an awesome birthday breakfast which she gave me the recipe so when I get home I'll try it seriously the breakfast was amazing. We finished getting ready I talked to Chris about his trip and how succesfull it was and that he was glad to be home with me and that he woke up really early to get me birthday gifts from Moscow. So of coarse I was super excited but he said I couldnt open them until we got home. He said they could break and with little kids we didnt want to take the risk so I agreed. The rest of the day was nice spending time with Kevin and Marnie and their family. Their daughter Lauren had a ballet recital and it was fun to watch that and help get her ready, she was the prettiest ballerina up there.

For dinner we had fondue, which was the first time I have ever had it and let me tell you Im hooked the stuff is amazing. I really like the bread and cheese. We sat around talking, laughing and eating. The kids were bummed cause I didnt have a cake but out of nowhere Marnie comes in with a rice crispy treat with a candle in it. Everybody sang and I blew out the candle she was even sweet enough to get me a beautiful necklace. We thanked them said are goodbyes and headed home. On the way home I got two phone calls both from the two guys Chris shares an office with Andreas Herdt and Alexander Bishcler. and let me remind you they speak german and russian english is their third language and not that great but in broken english they wished me a happy birthday the russian way, where they wish you health happiness and so on. It was very sweet they both are great friends.

We got home got somewhat settled and Chris brought out the presents, three of them! I was so excited so here is what he got me.....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMGHghIDUbHew70TfWRltvyXywYl-gIC1qW6CqpGooc6ij5l-S7L4nuo-gEw8n3onzLM9Gh2CJEbSEn9ouIH9XDnIawZYcXqAJL8AT3uANnPsWHk5bOGSujDlyK3megtZ8vTRnD41LLmYg/s320/DSC01453.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5476410725100832258" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjK9_2xzN95wMxjPACFDjVkb0_HMHejqN4_DaR14E37Kvi-wzLfWjlF-ikfa0X6_M91C_fC7vCWVC70bYtw2kapPlHrKMnaXIbOJEy3CySGt7Nl9Hztx2C0YZ2DdxGb_55RmNN5t5hjK1u7/s320/DSC01451.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5476410719760973218" />

This is a music box that plays the prettiest song Its what the cathedrals look like there...
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihEo2yuSDtLd-9aRNnTFjPEh7jmK0XVfcak4VbTX0FaryAh3EmkISY5u0V2lZE0vDCKogMjeFQZiYrLOK7DrZrgBbWIzAGLtv9TtM-oa7HcHZDZVgdOLwhpbd98p0HLdcE0-cT4ddCvVxm/s320/DSC01457.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5476412677358528674" />

This is a "Matroschka" or nesting dolls this is the prettiest one I have ever seen the pictures doesnt do it justice. It was my first time meeting them, random we would be meeting the first time in Germany. They are an awesome family Kevin and his wife Marnie and their three kids Caden 7, Lauren 4, and Ava 2. We woke up that next morning and went to a session at the Frankfurt, Temple. It was an amazing experience different for me just because it was all in German!! but that sweet spirit of the temple just seemed to burn right through you. After that the weekend was filled with bike rides, a car game called "Geography", and laughing and talking till it was time to go to bed again. We had such a good weekend and are so grateful for family. Thanks Kevin and Marnie. Pics from the weekend....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4Q-7U1QCkTWg0GVv0SXrUxcQuOalNpgTisp0cHcVN3AZh9DPT8tNkGPYvsBwLUN7Jbf2kKZBPP-k5pRYceCgFFoICz_fUmgT4QTgjcBzxjUWd6l8PDoNw6wBktRyP1ODKwtbh4qCX2xev/s320/191.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467466933692235602" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJAOZYLZ5N4Y8cLpSBXzNw7-laIai-vq4z4wOejJzv_MO-TRYA5CDZ78OwbgKOTH4MiixrYFg_GBwzq3tmth2rWt5_oTduforf85tqIwUebUMZQfOzJ2guzLmAGi_XPhf9rb7MLzY-7DN-/s320/188.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467466926020430354" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaUQXOi4fDWKtmMGwm_ozo1FnAoclbiVo6ad_5XLx25-1JpKLkH4j2mc8AAUSk_GI0Y5pW0J26BoDAoZdFu0kTrAzEe_SKQTBaO4sJ6Yos45kU-sDZEsjvhLj0qnd6P8vy_9UtZiMC8YCh/s320/172.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467466922798375298" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvmbKkhv2op0rZsofv8lyMrv-XxC6HsOkEv8-3JXZCc6nb-2YlWWoyoBtu2vcHC520x86DJxwbGfjFIhPx3ZDc9Sa_i4rCh6QpBJqJ5OFCZO6LZJmHk9UjLlwTMnVuw8WQWtD9OXlvJqQP/s320/170.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467466913105252226" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh29FxSv1Zw6PqVD08WunSgnYhcSoIG0GYWHB9d5KVdcPGrieSpoWdyNIybV0Q_eNLDESaVyDPjp3SNmqUvAa8H6AjOLc3Q53BdR87gGVidl_NmeNu_vVt65k2e6MZy7cnoYdBkIGn-kOPf/s320/165.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467466902707630098" />

This last weekend, the weekend of May 1st was probably one of my favorite weekends. I have been begging to see the tulips in Holland, so Chris decided to take me to the tulip park called Kuekenhof. This park is only opened for about a month and in this month millions of people come to this park. What makes this park so special, really you have to see it to believe but it a huge park of all flowers, and not just your ordinary tulips but what they call hybrid tulips. It was amazing so im sorry there will be a lot of pictures. The weather was so nice and the park was amazing I couldnt of asked for a better day. Thanks Chris I love you.
<img style="display:block; The sun decided to come out and everything is green and beautiful. Chris and I every week pick a place on the map and go to that place on Saturday. So being here for three months almost four we have seen our fair share. April 10th we decided to go to the Baltic sea. I couldnt believe how tropical Germany could look minus the palm trees of course. It was really windy that day but we are planning on going back and playing in the water and laying on the beach. Heres the Baltic sea....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_qC2Fi1DPAZEIwbQul0xxtp5pHukf4Bxh9YVq_R2NlqUCHogksbaCVmwVb-lf0cTzIdA30odH-D20UFLX5Zf5gNjT9UH52BIBcj6K-hitrN1TqVbXM3ZZYedufreWb-dSlG53kAytX2IC/s320/002.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465892466631005714" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqP_ZJyp8Bd2C3wzSJKWRnsMl6w6nMkRBqYeBH9zvc_vwAlSGkGj4mn4SPm26fNEgHCp0GZa8Qqk1fSTGhfSuGIAc4KvYhXZlrHxMiC64hR0Tt7sk5JYeYXsg1tqUgNGEEQbREoc4He2uS/s320/012.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465892459538125634" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuqrndsPyPg0tXVAI4PZrPVQhYuGWWRnteZAeqLQu8CSb3l0Ho3aSTN5-mEVsEZJgJ-Ja3sQNnxFRhA6y8XVYAJdVuunf5fLFqMAyLTeAdfX1cZaNRlVTdufMR0hHmq8lfkME6NM8_1P3l/s320/008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465892457004253138" />
April 17th we picked the city of Hamburg, which is a beautiful city with many rivers that flow throughout it. We looked up on the internet for the number one thing to do in Hamburg and other then clubs and discos came up a museum called Minitaure Wonderland. So we decided to try it out. What it is, is a huge train set, set to scale. They have taken countries and cities and re-did them in little size so that the train could run through them. Thousands of trains going through Switzerland, Las Vegas, Belgium, Germany and tons more they are still creating new worlds and it should be done aroun 2014. This place was amazing we spent hours looking at all the little details of the people and cars it was so much fun. Here are pics of the museum and Hamburg....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvfbh9AizIwZ2Cx7zfXrO9Q1I6Phrv3CF_zJPlgb0mno1hlsC2EsmhSr2QeN3lBWDL_StwpZgUnYDpStwUSIbw6dbkpuhBW0joydaRzK_ojEzaMD1grVT3OC8EYUOUa5lHqbwzbLEOCIAh/s320/158.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465899033867682754" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBEVKGryIWHQphGRSnnCcM5r4yazDMtC33V2b80j9I3IDCmn-nhNT_AUmCYuReeiOZYHQTzCl3zFaHx9E6G38WjaH8Nt0nj-YLjaXV8r-9LPy3pbhmRqMlQ6xAR0Xd1ZJyThTJP_zLb6gt/s320/117.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465899028677194850" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBFza-pCgshSxbf28MkH-SFbsMRgot6mH7rrcYWQMNVbozS8WuAVGjj2f5jCEFUc9ERSYMugu66M5jTwBDMQKNrWFDQAkFOajQLjsP0n6DdIi_isOd9vDu1q8i-ro8shnepaBQXdFu4q7V/s320/053.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465899020636793394" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwLNX1JDe5xSOll1kd_beD7WzHgpiLQRfl58H2xBz4IeEaSpYkeizFY0PZ9_h_SDn1LwXc-s5GiWJsTDjuET3_fd3rz_Z9NHG3AVQyEItsmQuG9T-2J85LmNIH2viK-vDPy9cr8D39JH0c/s320/029.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465899008242478434" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 178px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP63uG9PsNK0Z4d8F6D5XqQZEPIHaT5IpecIBBijEVfa6wJWTvq6PxHuo_uoZEamzOC_HGCOUHu15qGAq3Dn24TtqPMl88ZHvaztqnSplCz8UMdlkijeceZxd5br3r7E3jlVPN-AfsbUt8/s320/025.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5465899001307791682" />
We have had a lot of fun and still trying to see as much as we can before we get home. We had a lot of fun we didnt do eggs or hidden baskets this year instead we went to The Netherlands. I know I said Rome but we are going later when we can spend more time and hopefully the pope isnt in trouble anymore, its kind of crazy right there right now. Holland was amazing we went to De Hoge Veluwe national park. Where there is no cars only bikes. This park is known for their famous white bikes that you ride all through the park. There are many trails to take and sites to see. Inside of the park is an underground museum which was amazing, and the Hunting Lodge which to me looked more like a castle. The day was beautiful we had a picnic and just rode all day long, the day afterwards though we were pretty sore but it was worth it. Even being thousands of miles away we still seem to get the Idaho news/gossip. Ranging from divorces, deaths, sports news, disasters, births good or bad we seem to be kept caught up. And with all the news from Rexbug to the news on tv me and my husband have come closer together working on progressing in our trials and making it to the end. I think husbands in general have a special spirit to them, I mean us woman arent the easiest to live with sometimes. With going through bad hair days, pms, kid trouble, friend/family trouble a husband somehow knows how to make everything better. A warm embrace, kiss, or even the famous flowers that smile somehow gets put back on our faces and the hope of everything comes back. I have an amazing husband which im sure each of you will say yours is the best. Which all that really matters is that in your own eyes each of our husbands to us is the best! I dont know about you but I love the late nights of just laughing, laughing at the little things that really arent that funny but at that moment seem to be hillarious. The times were he makes a mistake and in the back of your mind your saying I told you so. I love watching my husband interact with children. I love the simple gesture when he opens my door for me. The little things add up and Chris is amazing at trying his best to do the big and the little things. I love my husband and im so grateful for him. If you read this give your husband a hug and tell him how much you love him, he is trying his hardest to make you the happiest girl in the world. Until next time....Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-90755424072084112472010-03-31T23:48:00.000-07:002010-04-01T00:29:11.482-07:00Got to love a good laugh!!!So its pretty early in my day to be posting but I had to post this. So its almost nine o'clock in the morning here and I was scanning some documents at the printer, when Marlene comes and said I have a phone call. I asked if it was Chris and to just take a message. Marlene said it wasn't Chris it was Andreas. So I left my work and went to the phone. I said hello and this is what I hear. Andreas said, "Kylie, Chris, Alexander, and I were outside looking at the harvesters to sell. Chris fell off and broke his leg badly, the ambulance came and got him about ten minutes ago. He is at the Osnabruck hospital" and can I just remind you Andreas is Russian\German his third language is English and he is speaking this really well. So I start to panic and was like, "Can I go see him." and he was like, "No....April Fools!!" I got worked by a Russian not my husband a Russian. That was a first, but I couldnt stop laughing after that, he got me good. Now I have to figure out some way to get him back :)But now that im on the subject of funny stories, I havent posted how destructive my husband is..

In our apartment the bathroom doesn't have a counter so I do my makeup in our bedroom in front of the mirror on our closet door. So Im sitting there doing my makeup, Chris is getting dressed and he sits down on the side of the bed to put his socks on when.........BOOM!!!!!The bedframe falls to the floor, the beds legs fly out of the side, wood, screws everything exploded on that side. and not to make matters worse he also took the drawerfront off of the drawer when he went to get his socks. I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face. He then had to go tell Alexander because that is who the bed belongs to. (Chris, Alexander, and Andreas all share the same office). So he is now known as "Big Butt" in his office. and Chris has gotten use to the chubby jokes, but now he is known as the Hulk because he went to lower our kitchen light and ripped the light right off the ceiling! He really cant catch a break with our apartment. He fixed that and is now super careful.

I hope everyone has a happy April fools day. We miss you all very much!Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-82222533118274508222010-03-28T23:48:00.000-07:002010-03-29T00:54:02.104-07:00Another Two Weeks DownSo Im sitting here at work and I thought I would update on what Chris and I have done these last weeks and all the thougths that are running through my head. well maybe not all of them but a few. The main portion of our week is working eight to four thrity which seems to make our time here go by even faster. This last week after work I got to go play tennis!! It was in an indoor court but the courts arent hard courts like they are back home. They are carpet. Which is a little different but the effect was the same. I love the sound of indoor tennis it was awesome. I also got to play against Lena a girl I work with. Germany vs. America! We just hit around she has been playing since she was five, but I kept up. I cant wait till the middle of April when the clay courts are open.

Chris and I also decided to go to Düsseldorf, which is actually one of Germany´s fashion capitals. We didnt go shopping but went to a garden and an aquarium. It was really rainy that day so we couldnt really enjoy the garden, but when the flowers come out it will be beautiful. The aquarium was really fun, would be a great place to take your family to. It wasnt just sea animals but also bugs, birds, animals. It had an indoor rainforest, Im sorry i dont have pictures now but I will post some later. It was a lot of fun very interactive.

We have also been meeting with the missionaries for German lessons. Im still really struggling at the language but the lessons are helping. Im still not very comfortable with speaking even though I know quite a bit, but I dont know my accent is not good at all. Hopefully I will gain some confidence with it. The missionaries are super nice and we are hopeing they stay for this next transfer. If not we get new teachers. The one nice thing about the lessons are that after we get to play basketball in there gym. Which is only a half gym but im so gratefull for it. I miss playing baskteball once a week with everybody.

This last week we had German lessons and then Saturday went to Osnabruck and went shopping!! Chris got a speeding ticket the second week we were here so to make it fair I got to shop for the same ammount his speeding ticket cost us. It was great everything is really expensive here but I found some really cute items on sale.

We are getting ready for our Easter trip and I am getting super excited. I wanted to stay busy over this weekend because I didnt want to get homesick. So Chris and I decided to take a big road trip and we decided to go to ....... Rome!! I am so excited. But we are doing good, and we are so thankfull for all the blessing that we have recieved. The Lord truly knows us by heart and I am trying so hard to be that person he wants me to be. I love and miss my family so much I hope all is going well. Until next time.Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-62033146272041256262010-03-18T06:30:00.000-07:002010-03-18T06:43:19.857-07:00Just needed to talk.......So I just wanted to talk Im sitting here at work, and I have gotten use to the fact that I cant understand anybody. I´ve gotten use to sitting in my office quietly until someone asks, "What is this in American?" I then tell them and the conversation is over. Its to hard for them to talk to me and when they try it takes them a while to get the point across. And as i sit here in silence I was looking through my notebook or what I thought was my notebook mine and Lena´s must of been mixed up cause what I read was.: You look very beautiful today in german and english, How to explain my work in german and english, What are your hobbies in german and english. Two whole pages of conversation that she looked up so she could try and talk to me. Everyone that I have meet has gone out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. I have the greatest respect for them. Even in this silence I sit in Im very grateful for the people that surround me.Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-55985481946290212892010-03-14T11:05:00.000-07:002010-03-14T11:28:29.143-07:00Today was a fairytale!!!So it has been another two weeks and I have been so excited to blog about this last weekend. Chris and I decided to go see a castle!! It took us three hours to get there but well worth it!! We drove to the city of Cochem were the famous Cochem castle rest high up on the hilltop. This castle was first built around 1000 ad but then destroyed by French soldiers. It was later rebuilt using the original plans but then taken over by some rich guy which did the inside that is why the inside is more up to date so to speak. We actually got to go inside with a tour. There they took us through different rooms showing us the uniqeness and what made those rooms special. My favorite room was the knight room it was all dark wood with a beautiful ivory ceiling. The details in these rooms are incredible. This castle like I said sits on the hill top for protection and it overlooks the river for trade purposes. The man that redid the inside loved wood carvings so this whole castle wood was amazing!!! He could totally decorate my house becasue it is beautiful. Here are some pics......
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7VQ91wJZUdBTRoUynVozSfVQTZGhmoBTiIZ48PqXFoM3oZ74dtboGKoVPnd9xPYYhBrM-HHyIhG9Y0azMWBQ1w2gyT6YwNDZo6e0rCmidje68TWs6zPmh7YixZzUSE8TNlYJRJSArOxIR/s320/DSC00778.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448555335379468274" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj01LwbdaZvaQNFpVzAqNCI4PE-xKHxy6GeCTWeTRxTP3SbIj3cQ1Z3oK-pDuEbTVVU_skqOmXF_bTcnaW0gK6ZNEOCMF1WBtV-BaC_eGTZ97akN4Nhf6QUZ3hucISR0vs38lM50nNvp_PG/s320/DSC00759.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448555326652545170" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNqbqsAzoGy_leRCcmScTb3-3TFdor1G3a20i0fvGBOCh8jW019kH8A42QG3VusoLJnhJQVWOVuRPP9w0JbQsL5aFaUgL5AnP1EGLRzQwLkcT_a7mmxJe29eLK0PGyrKTQrrD-UKN0Cmcq/s320/DSC00728.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448555315684705954" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDhXUJPCkjtAsD4Ad4wRpVGQo7fwworI1opTt1dFZ-54MKt83ZHWwuU3X8dVJ4MPu7HtfQfqil5LqWuGVSAYtAPv_CwLb11Xn3mWZA4rtlecgcf6gfe6tgeCTSeDnSzfHuMzY0M0SjkSSS/s320/DSC00702.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448555311709607682" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHThxpjuPc7QWgumgTRcm47FJA6EdGzRXDi9LAOd7wzVZmfzP-AZ8q_qpqzPEMDJThs_i0NJKj6cecKFDSLf_7-YTTH_EB3nJKytDoA12e712IBxwHFCemZEGzJfu8Ijl8C8Op6fjM1lQF/s320/DSC00677.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448555309659293410" />
The weekend before Chris and I went to a basketball game. Lena a girl I work with got us tickets. It is like our NBA it is an international team were half of the team are American. It was so fun there stadium wasnt that much bigger then our high school, but it was loud and crazy the whole time. When you got to your seat they gave you this fan that you clap with which makes the whole stadium super loud. Everybody claps the whole time and at the same beat. They play american music it was so fun. The team we cheered for were the Artland Dragons. It was a close game the whole time, it was very physical at the end of the game there was a total of five technicals!!! Ya it was crazy. But in the last quarter there was a huge dunk over two huge guys which brought the whole house off there seats and cheering and to end it all they won on a buzzer beater three pointer. Well worth the money so much fun.
We are doing great and I still cant believe we have been here for one month still missing everybody and are wishing we could be sharing these memories with our friends and families. Hope everybody is doing great lots of love till next time....
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBWSHn3aGt0N65L4kPN6mmD5WGfQuqgrS9W32IhlBk1urbcVHhitn2Icpo0cM9UP1zpgnCq0w0tpWgyeEM9we2V3gVD7z8A30MZqaL6P1BI1yI7OYvtCG4raMF99EIKmyaHQYPj4Rc9Qzz/s320/DSC00664.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448557641606820930" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDEzvJJAvDdArt4UAwtDhKoRoxwQTCh7CHwA20IVF16Nrdnl5osbbz4py1voJgsx2klM0Ikn-iiPkHwthEDIXZ6_6sVuLHeIa04r5LQtn1kfce5kB1ZXLJmHrSYVWByVTjS17-rfb4th7O/s320/DSC00669.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448557631079764866" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiN-hP9hk1UdZnMSXQqjTe5CIW6FKwrEHPo_wivd0tWZlRIDbwMtfI-zJzKtz-5ivf1Ol-_4QPi73ew-zhMpaUpAHoCyE5v6mQWGP5Wbz6f1nPGyTuLqF1IlpF1W9kZlKzcz1RPJWS8Gfqt/s320/DSC00660.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448557626937814002" />Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-29597139099605413472010-03-05T04:49:00.000-08:002010-03-05T05:54:52.161-08:00Germany Feb 16- Mar 5So we are finally here in Germany. We knew about this trip before we got married, and I cant believe we are here and actually going through with this. There is no turning back. We flew into Bremen Germany at around 5 o'clock and let me tell you that plane ride was long. I learned always bring a sleeping pill because i dont think i slept at all. So we arrived with Andreas waiting for us at the airport (He is Russian, him and Chris work together, there really good friends.) He took us straight to our apartment or flat is what they call it here. We are living in Vorden which is about an hour outside of Bremen. We arrived at our apartment and to my surprise they had it all furnished for us and i mean furnished with: couch, TV, bed, table, all kitchen stuff we needed, washer, everything. Which really made me happy. We live above the garage of an older couples home there names are Alexander and Taunja Bischler. Both speak Russian so they can communicate to Chris.

For the first few days I got really sick, I dont know if it was the jet lag, with the different food, but something was not right. Im so grateful that I have a loving, amazing husband that is a worthy priesthood holder, cause after his blessing I was fine. Chris and I didnt start work till Monday so we had that whole weekend to play. We went to Osnabruck and went through the Cathedrals it was amazing!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgO48yvWC1AxswNZgBA16d0MaSEK-wEfYUN41rEx6QL7ZCNN8TU5llGJ5L3GBm5KnsJhdSqA7ZcZmzkgVlemWti817wQ_wQdX6PRB6czd-GbPwORvA4vGM0t212pVHYMGfeFiazeZgvNxtD/s320/DSC00486.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5445134413759852210" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6B-Yk-F_HQMtJWDtHU1RvDwgkrYzS6UaLlDy6TJZglLu5NqEmHYHsX3bs6V-iDRU5_8C61kskCtdt3N1PSaGhP-WNnzpN0KZ2XrLnh0dkCuQSnpuPMH_o0G0iUuQ7ojpcAi2tZOYLjLIO/s320/DSC00477.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5445134415776620034" />
This day was really cold and rainy so it was nice to be inside the Cathedrals. They are amazing inside. While we were there a man was playing the organ it was kinda creepy very phantom of the opera, but it was amazing.

Germany is beautiful it looks like it just came out of a story book. With all the history and culture. There is a lot of old beautiful building everywhere. There side walks and a lot of there roads are cobblestone which I love that. You can walk anywhere there streets are amazing once we get more pictures I'll post them of the town we are in.

Chris and I started work on Monday and it was a whole new experience for me. Chris' job is just the same as it was back home, mine is really different instead of working in peoples mouth I am plugging in numbers on the computer. Which is alright im not the biggest fan of my job but I really like the girls I work with. Only a couple of people speak really good english where I work but the rest do the best they can, but we seem to get things accomplished and the work done. That is one of the hardest things about being here.....I dont get to talk all of the time. But everybody is super nice and tries there hardest to make me feel right at home.

Our first shopping experience was a huge eye opener. We decided to buy stuff for ham sandwiches, something easy right? hahaha nope. In Germany you have to pay for your cart they are all locked together and dont come undone till you pay. Me and chris just barely figured this out so we ended up carrying the ingredients all around the store. but figuring out which meat is which and which cheese was which almost put me in a panic attack cause of coarse everything is labeled in German. So assuming by color we picked our ingredients and headed to the cash register. We also learned that germans dont bag there food they either carry it out in there carts or just by hand which was something new that i didnt know. We got the groceries payed for and survived our first shopping experience.

The Second weekend we decided to go to Cologne. and if anybody comes to visit us we would like to take you guys here. This city is known for the Cologne Cathederal and looking at the pictures its pretty obvious why. This cathedral is architectrually amazing!! You are allowed inside to tour. Inside is just as amazing as the outside. One part is all candles where people come and light them and pray and its like there prays go to heaven. The rest of the inside has amazing statues, wall hangings, carvings its beautiful. YOur only allowed certain areas but the places we got to see were awesome. We also got to go downstairs into the treasury were the gold robes,jeweled crowns, staffs,and artifacts are. Your not allowed to take pictures but wow the priest are blinging. There all in glass cases and in one was the artifacts of a six year old boy. Who was one of the men in line for there church but he died when he was six. but in this grave they found a battle helmet for the six year old it was just tiny. Rings a lot of war materials, but the cool thing was, was they found a vase that was still half full of oil. They figured the little boy was burried aroun 500 A.D.
It was amazing. After we walked through the treasury we decided to walk up to the top of the bell tower. And I thought running stairs in high school was bad it was nothing compared to this. Of walking thousand of winding steps. There is the first stop and it goes to the bells and wow they are huge, but they still ring them today. A lot of cathedrals still ring the bells. Me and chris wake up to bells every morning. So after we looked at the bells we walked more stairs till we were at the top and its a lot like being on top of the space needle cause your allowed to go all the way around it and see the whole city from an amazing view. Tomorrow at 1 o'clock Chris and I will be flying out of Idaho falls to Germany. and with that comes an eleven to twelve hour flight of crossword puzzles, movies, and suduko. This is a once in a lifetime opprotunity, that I cant believe im lucky enough to take and share with the love of my life. We will be living in Germany for six months because of Chris' internship. He will be doing pretty much his same job as he does in Blackfoot but learn the European side of it. I will be working in the same office as Chris but will just be doing secretarial work. Which means learning German. the language is coming slowly but its coming. My emotions are so bi-polar im super excited but scared out of my mind. Its all still surreal it will hit me when we are actually on the plane flying to Germany. Thanks Kayla and Madison for helping me with the blog. I love my family and will miss you guys greatlyPiercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5292593514437282833.post-68654054078360644052009-09-03T20:48:00.001-07:002009-09-03T20:48:37.979-07:00First PostHi Madison is helping me :)Piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02235096906648956463noreply@blogger.com2
